Distinguished Gentleman's Ride in New Mexico

Distinguished Gentleman's Ride in New Mexico

The Distinguished Gentleman's Ride is a worldwide fundraising event for men's health, focusing on awareness as well as research in prostate cancer. It started in Australia by Mark Hawwa in 2012 and has grown worldwide to incorporate over 500,000 riders in 107 countries. The gist of the event is to don your most dapper apparel, hop on a vintage style motorcycle, and ride around the city of your choice. All of this is a way for vintage motorcycle enthusiasts to bring awareness and fund raise for Movember's Men's Mental Health and prostate cancer initiatives

New Mexico has taken part in this event for the last six years and on May 19th, 2024 it held another one. The ride started at Rust is Gold Coffee Shop on Eubank Blvd in Albuquerque, NM and ended at the Albuquerque Press Club with a couple stops along the way. This year the New Mexico DGR had 198 registered riders raised $12,074 for Movember and their Men's Health research.

The weather was simply perfect and the energy in the air was excitement! Many new friendships were formed once again at this event and support for Men's Health Research was achieved. We hope that this event only grows to be stronger and bigger with each passing year, bringing together young and old motorcycle enthusiasts and allowing them to grow into a strong community that supports each other!

Until next year, stay dapper!
